Our Conversions

We use Italian BiGas state of the art sequential injection equipment and our LPG Conversions are to a high standard, we also use computer Technology to fine tune your Car once the work is completed.

The business holds a certificate of Training for the installation of LPG equipment , which is supplied to us by Tinley Tech Ltd .

There is a complete range of Tanks available including "Dougnut Tanks" ie "Torroidal " which fit in place of the spare wheel and can be fitted to the side in an upright position or flat in the boot floor . Ordinary cylinder tanks are readily available and usually are the cheapest option but they reduce the boot space.

The " Front End Kit " is designed for all numbers of Cylinders and the more Powerful V6 and V8 engines need injector emulators fitted into the wiring loom, this ensures that full power can be still achieved should the vehicle be lugging a Caravan or a Jeep going off road.

Bigas is one of the Top Italian makes, alongside Prinz , Zavoli , and a few others, and included is an ECU which has to be wired into the existing electronic system, so that the Petrol injectors can be switched off and the Gas injectors simultaneously switched on. The wiring loom that we fit, has a serial interface connector and we have a programe on the laptop that we utilise to fine tune your engines gas conversion .

Before the work can start , we have to do an emissions test , MOT style, to make sure that there are no basic defects. If your engine is running OK , this is recorded, and your Gas conversion is then tuned to run Cleaner .  Once the engine has warmed up to a predetermined temperature, the system automatically changes to LPG seamlessly, and you should not notice any difference .

There is a small percentage of power loss at top end, but it really is a case of how you drive , and if you want to change down at 80mph, and blast into space , you can press a button and pop back to petrol at any time.  In normal circumstances you wont need to switch the gas off, and the car will start on petrol, warm up, and change to gas automatically .

There is a small monitor fitted inside the car which indicates the amount of Liquid in the tank, and there is an LED indicator for full, 3/4, half full, 1/4 and one for reserve which is pretty accurate.  If you run out of gas it will revert to petrol without a hitch until you can refill.

You cannot overfill your tank, there is an internal shut of valve, and this prevents overfilling, and you can never see the liquid gas as its under high pressure .  It is all very safety conscious and all work falls within Code of Practice guidelines.
